There were times in my life when I said to myself that I am going to do this and do that, but it never worked for me. Why? Because I lacked Self-discipline. When I came to know about self-discipline and learned how to be more productive, things changed a lot.

What I couldn’t do in 2 years, self-discipline made me do that in less than five months. But, oh boy, it was never easy. Not even now. I still struggle to fight against my lazy mind.

If you were to ask me what is self-discipline, back then when I used to be an avid gamer, I would have told its something that would force you to wake up early in the morning and would make you do the chores, which is not wrong, but it’s more than that. Self-discipline refers to acting on your thoughts — your inner wisdom — rather than following your feelings. Despite how you feel, the ability to do it just because you think it’s essential is self-discipline.

Self-Discipline and Motivation:

Before learning about self-discipline, I used to think, by only having motivation, one can finish their task or goals — which is right in some cases. But I was wrong. Motivation will increase the desire to do the job. But in the long run, only self-discipline…
